Live stream video is the way to connect with an audience in today’s marketplace.
The platform also offers a blank canvas’ worth of possibilities, from both marketing and community building perspectives. Different from simply uploading pre-recorded videos natively to Facebook, the limited capabilities and subsequent low production value give a sort of license to a “come as you are” style of broadcasting. Viewers don’t expect bright lights, a gorgeous set, and fully produced presentations. In fact, they count on the opposite because live streaming feels like just a step (or click) away from actually hanging out with the person shooting it. People see the person streaming, of course, but more importantly (thanks to scrolling comment functions and reciprocal communication) *the viewers* feel seen!
