Snow Day!

Hey, all! You may’ve heard on the news about the storms we’re having in Texas. Fortunately I made it home yesterday from TNNA without incident. Today though, it’s snowing in Austin! This almost never happens, so we’re all excited. I’m actually wearing something warm and wool. Woo hoo!

I’ll report on TNNA once I catch up a bit from being gone but did want to share really quick that Noel the wonder pup got her ears from a few of us and her owner, Bernie, has posted pictures. Check them out here. Thanks to everyone who’s shown their empathy and support!

Happy Tuesday!

xo,
Vickie

I’m in Tulsa and your snow is supposed to make it our way at the end of the week. Which would be awesome EXCEPT we already have six inches of ice on the ground! Thanks, but no thanks! Tomorrow will be my kids’ third Snow Day! Talk. about. cabin. fever. But, the ice is keeping me in the house, knitting like a madwoman! I’m dying to start on the sushi TP cozy.

    Stay warm, lady.

Waiting for the ice(!) to hit Houston tonight!

Had fun in San Diego! Glad we got to hang a bit!

(Today I love exclamation points apparently!)

SE-RI-OUS-LY, girl i cannot believe that you’re excited about the snow!!! i’ve been stuck in the house for 4 days with a 20 mo. old, and spent over an hour scraping ice off my car last night, in an effort to make it to a class this morning. here in good ol’ kansas city it’s a whopping 7–yes i said 7–degrees. speaking of kansas city—can we get some vickie book signing love here?!?!?!

Jenny–I feel for you with the kid-induced cabin fever! Mine are with their dad this week though, so I’ve been using the weather as an excuse to work all day in my jammies. 🙂

Jamie– In my defense, we haven’t seen snow here in 3 years so it’s novel to have it. I doubt I’d be nearly as amused in your situation. I hope you’re loading up on the hot totties. BTW, perhaps leading with the 7 degree thing when making a Kansas City book signing request, wasn’t the best way to go. 😉 LOL!

Okay, am feeling better today. Risked life and limb last night for a trip to Barnes & Noble and they finally had Knitty Gritty Knits in stock.

    WOOT!

Vicki: I have been watching you at 8:30 PST every morning on DIY but now I see that there’s a different show on. What times are your shows now? Thanks, deb

oh good! I can watch them both at the same time! NOT! I guess I’ll just have to choose which one is more interesting. Thanks, deb
