Make sure to set your DVRs for these new ones–the projects are all really cool and vary in skill level! Knit on, Vickie

And You don’t know HOW excited I am to see these new episodes! I have been knitting like crazy lately and just finished my first hat and now working on that shrug someone else mentioned that you wore on a show so I HAD to get it and who knows what else this week. Thinking of trying my hand at dyeing….

Your show is truly inspirational. Please keep up the good work and bringing knowledge of techniques and cool projects

You totally rock (I know that was so eighties)

My 7-year-old son and I are loving the new episodes. That’s right, he’s 7 and Knitty Gritty is his favorite show. I record it every day and he asks to see it as soon as he finishes his homework. He’s become a great knitter, thanks partly to me and mostly to your guests (he loves the Lily Chin episodes!).

    Lady –

Can we please discuss the gorgeous shawl-like item you are sporting in the Coreolis episode? MUST HAVE ONE OF MY OWN! I hope you can share the pattern or at least the yarn type and needle size.

    Gorgeous, gorgeous.

    Thanks!

I really liked the coreolis sock episode. By the way, that is such a GORGEOUS black wrap you were wearing!!! Is that something that you knit yourself, Vickie? 🙂 If so, maybe a future pattern of the month?

  5. Catherine

Okay Ms VH….The new rule is: Whatever knitwear item you are wearing for the day on the show must have mention on where to get it and how to knit it.

    🙂

Catherine- Was it Stefanie Japel’s One Skein Wonder shrug? That’s a really great pattern. 🙂

Jill–That’s SO awesome. I can’t get my 7 year old interested in knitting OR my show. 😉

Theresa & Robin-I haven’t seen the episode yet but if I remember correctly, that’s the shawl I made from a Suss kit. I’ll find the link and post it.

    xo,
    Vickie

Yes, that is the Stefanie Japel One Skein Wonder shrug…awesome pattern. I am now obsessed with it.

And I am bummed that I missed her episode when she was on…I hope to see it soon

    HI VICKIE,

I Love your show. Im a crocheter but I started knitting a few months ago. Your show has taught me knew things as well as inspired me to keep knitting. Well, I just love it. I wanted to know in the episode #DKNG-701-CORIOLIS SOCKS, you wore a beautiful poncho. It was like a mesh design. Is it one of your creations? or maybe in one of your books? Where can I find the pattern. I would love to make it.

    Thanks
    Daisy

    Dearest Vickie,

I am LOVING all the new episodes, especially the SOCKS! I have never knitted a sock (I am basically a new knitter, thanks to KNITTY GRITTY!)…LOVED the yarn harlot show…she is a hoot! Anyhow, I have started my first sock…have the episode burned to a disc so I can get help any time…
Keep the shows coming…can’t get enough of them!
    Take care!

I too love Knitty Gritty and have learned so much I am a beginner and want to venture out to socks…how funny so many of us are afraid of the “SOX” anyways love the new shows can’t wait for more. I have a idea for the shows you know how theres different versions contential and english? I think it would be helpful if there was like a picture in the corner of the opposite version I get really confused when the guest is using the contential method. Just a thought

Loving the new episodes. I’ve been hooked on your show for a few years, so the repeats are truely repeats for me. One question: why do you no longer discuss the yarns being used in the project at the beginning of the show? Seems like an intregal (the best!) part of the project.

I love the show, but am sad that I only get it on HGTV and will have to wait to see the Yarn Harlot Sock Show – it would be awesome if they were available for purchase either on DVD or on iTunes 🙂
