It’s officially the holiday season, which means Christmas movie feature time here on Movie Mondays. First up is one of my fave’s, 2003’s Elf!

P.S. If you know of any Hanukkah, Kwanza or Yule movies that might have knitwear in them, I’d be happy to feature ’em, too. Post suggestions in the comments section–thanks!
Truly one of my favorite holiday choices!! Thank you for posting.
The fabulous Bezzie reverse engineered the gorgeous cable hat. Pattern on Rav – http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/jovie-the-elf-knock-off-hat
Love this movie btw – watched for the first time while we were in FL on vacation this summer (go figure!). Looking forward to enjoying it during the more appropriate upcoming season.

The tv movie “The Christmas Card” had Alice Evans wearing a dark blue stockinette hat. What I thought was neat — the light blue pocket w flap and button knit on the front. We’ve all seen hats with appliques and pins, but has anyone else ever seen a hat with a pocket? It was on the Hallmark channel – channel 19 here on the west coast a few days ago, but I had recorded it and just watched it. On my dvr, it was at about 108-110 and again after the commercial at about 119-121 while they were in the Christmas tree lot.
I love that hat! I am trying to find out who makes it and where to buy one like it? Any ideas would be appreciated.
