BO = bind off

CC = contrasting color

ch = chain

CO = cast on, cast off

dec = decrease

dpn = double pointed needles

inc = increase

k = knit

k2tog = knit 2 together

k2tog tbl = knit 2 stitches together through back loop

M1 = make one stitch

MC = main color

p = purl

p2tog = purl 2 together

pm = place marker

rem = remaining

rep = repeat

rnd = round

RS = right side

sc = single crochet

sl = slip

sl-w-t = slip, wrap, turn

ssk = slip, slip, knit

st(s) = stitch(es)

tbl = through the back loop

WS = wrong side

wyib = with yarn in back

wyif = with yarn in front

yo = yarn over

* or ** = starting (and ending) point to repeat instructions

rep from * = repeat all the instructions following the asterisk
