Knitty Gritty Airtimes on DIY

I just got the DIY airing schedule for the fall season and thought I’d pass along Knitty Gritty will air weekdays at 11amPT/1pmCT/2pmET and Stylelicious will air on Tuesdays & Thursdays at 11:30amPT/1:30pmCT/2:30pmET.

Did any of you watch the season premiere of The Office? Much to my surprise on of our Knitsters had a part in it–she played the nurse who was caring for Meredith after Michael hit her with his car. Very cool.

That’s all I got.

xo,
Vickie

I did watch the season premiere of The Office – that’s funny that the nurse was a Knitster!

But more importantly – I watched the season premiere of SNL, and every time I saw Will Forte (especially during the “hellodere” sketch) I died laughing and thought, “Holy crap, the Flaconer KNITS!” hahahahaha! I’m a dork and only recently learned that he knits. One more reason to love him!

Jennifer-Unfortunately, no. We haven’t been in studio about a year. I’ll let you know when/if we get picked up for another season for sure, though!

AJC- Yeah, Will’s awesome. I’m really looking forward to getting to see him on Saturday. Dave and I are visiting him at SNL, which is always a blast!

I am really hoping for more seasons! I try to get all my errands done so I can be home for the show time.

Well, I have submitted a request and comments regarding seeing more Knitty Gritty and new episodes. So I would suggest everyone do the same if you have not already. They really do listen. And we need our voices heard so they know that we want more crafting on DIY…not more kitchen renovations.

I have said over and over how much I adore this show and that this is really what got me “over the hump” in understanding knitting and knitting concepts. Now I want to learn some designing. So Vickie, if you are listening, I want more designing lessons. 😉

Too funny! I love the Office, it’s such a funny show. I do hope they pick you guys back up for another season. There were some really great techniques I’ve learned from watching the show. It’s easier to learn when you can watch and not just look at a book. Thanks for all the great shows, Vicky!!

    Hi Vickie:

I just watched the rerun of “The Office” and saw the Knitster who played the nurse! How fun! She did look familiar – which show was she on with you? I remember her, but can’t place the episode.

Hope you had fun at SNL!

I left a comment with DIY. Told them that I re-decorate my bathroom every three years. But I KNIT every day. I told them the only reason I pay for DIY is to watch Vickie Howell on KNITTY GRITTY. I hope everyone writes. This is my all-time favorite show.
    Thanks Vickie,

Where can we leave comments so that they will do the most good? Also, what sorts of comments do they want to hear? Will they be swayed by “Gimme Vickie!” or do they need “I not only watch the show every weekday and wish it were on weekends, too, but I’m glad to see advertisements that are actually directed at my interests, such as those for Bling-a-Ding yarn company and their automatic combination needlefelter-clothes press.” Or perhaps they need us to nag them to spin off a crafts-only channel?
