Knit Ladder Stitch: Swatch it
DIRECTONS
Multiples of 4. (Not including border stitches)
Rows 1-4: Knit.
Row 5: (RS): K4, *ssk, (yo) twice, k2tog); rep from * to last 4 sts; k4.
Row 6 (WS): K4, p1, *(p1, k1) into double yo, p2; rep from * rep from * to last 4 sts; K4.
Repeat Rows 5-6 until piece is square.
Last 4 Rows: Knit.
BO.
Crochet Ladder Stitch: Swatch it
DIRECTIONS
Special Stitch
Fsc = foundation single crochet
Multiples of 3+ 1 (if using Fsc)
Fsc 19. Turn.
Row 1 (RS): Ch 5 (counts as dc and ch 2), sk next 2 sts, dc in next st, *ch 2, sk next 2 sts, dc in next st; rep from * to end. Turn.
Row 2 (WS): Ch 1 (doesn’t count as first st), sc in first st, *2 sc in ch2-sp, sc in dc; rep from * across, ending with 2 sc in beg ch5-sp and sc in 3rd ch of same ch-5. Turn.
Repeat Rows 1-2 unit piece is square. Fasten off.
