I Love to Create: Make Your Own Craft Corps Gear!
In anticipation of the release of Craft Corps the book I’m currently writing, and in celebration of all of the great stories people have shared and will share on the CC site, I’ve teamed up with I Love to Create to offer Craft Corps Stencil Kits! Who needs, pre-printed tees to proclaim your love of crafting when you can make your own dang shirt, bag, jacket, or pillow? Grab your kit. Choose your garment. Show your style. I can’t wait to see you wearing your gear!
- Place a piece of recycled cardboard or Fashion Form inside of tee to protect back of shirt from paint. Make shirt taught, using clothespins or masking tape.
- Carefully pull stencil off of backing. Center stencil on shirt and smooth with hand, ensuring adhesive sticks.
- Squeeze paints onto piece of foil. Using a dauber (make-up sponges work great, too!), dab 1st color paint over the letters until completely covered. Repeat with 2nd color, painting the lines that make up the circle.
- Let Dry. Remove stencil.
Craft Corps Stencil Kits come with 1, 7″ sticky stencil and 2 Tulip Soft Fabric paints, available in 6 different color combos:
- Ebony & White
- Periwinkle & Platinum
- Olive & Sunshine
- Ebony & Platinum
- Azalea (dark pink) & White
- Turquoise & Chocolate
I love the kits! What a great idea. When it comes to crafty goodness I’m a bit..um..fickle..yeah, fickle. My first love is knitting.. or maybe spinning.. or crochet.. hand sewing is right up there to. And embroidery. And beadwork. Hmm.. let me think a bit and I’m sure I can come up with more. LOL
Hi – I love the stencil kits too – think I’d have to use it on a calico tote and take it shopping. Love most crafting – presently mostly in love with patchwork hexagons, knitting, making felt (obsessed with that!) and doll-making. Should keep me busy for a bit 🙂
My craft of choice? That’s a tough question because I’m always trying new ones. Right now today, I guess I would say digi-scrapbooking and polymer clay jewelry.
If I don’t win, I’ll be buying the stencil kit to proclaim my craftiness!
Oh how to choose what is my favorite! Thats tough….but I would have to say that sewing and crocheting are my two fav’s….this month anyway!!
ohhh by the way I just got Pop goes Crochet, and WOW what great projects!!!
This blog was… how do I say it? Relevant!!
Finally I have found something that helped me. Many thanks!
