Have I mentioned lately, how much I love yous guys? No? Well, I do. Without the messages from a few readers, I wouldn’t have known thatSheep(ish)–the 1st yarn in my Stitch.Rock.Love line through Caron– is available NOW (2 weeks early) at JoAnn Etc. stores across the nation!
Over the weekend we went to the Austin store (at Arbor Walk) to check it out, and *squeal*, Sheep(ish) was there! The free pattern sheets from my designs haven’t arrived yet, but there’ll be 4 available in stores next week(ish). In the meantime, here’s a list of some of my previous, free patterns that would work up well in Sheep(ish):

Wondering if the JoAnn near you carries Sheep(ish)? Well, thanks to web-girl-wonder Jenny, you can consult the store finder on my website! Check that out here.
Don’t worry though, if you don’t have a store near you. Buy.Caron.com has all 21 colors available and ready to ship to anywhere in the U.S., Canada, UK & Australia!
Lastly, I really get a kick out of seeing the endcaps at stores across the country. I started a “Sheep(ish) Spotting” album on my Facebook page of shots that people send me from their local store. Keep sending ’em to me–I really appreciate it!
As always, thanks for the support. I couldn’t be prouder of my new yarn. The colors are beautiful, it’s delightful to work with, and it’s affordable. Hope you love it as much as I do!
Stay tuned for weekly patterns using Sheep(ish) delivered through the Caron Connections newsletter, starting tomorrow! If you haven’t signed up already, you can do so on their site.
I work at the JoAnn’s store in Independence, MO. I had the pleasure of setting the endcap for the Sheep(ish) line. The yarn feels wonderful and the colors are so saturated. I will be directing many of our customers to trying it for their many projects. In fact, before I was even finished setting them out, I had a gal wanting to buy some. Congratulations on a line well done!!!
I am devastated by the loss of @hillcountryweavers founder, Susanne Middlebrooks.
I wrote a longer tribute to her on my blog and Facebook (links in bio). In short, though, she had been sick for a long time but had been a master at not letting the illness get in the way of her living. So, it was often unimaginable that she wouldn't be with us for longer. Last June during an industry convention in Chicago when Susanne came over to the bar booth I was sitting at and plopped herself next to me to chat, I had no idea that it would be the last time I'd get to see her. I'm so thankful though, that when we parted ways to go back to our respective meetings, it was with a hug. Rest in purls, my friend....
When I came across this Knitting Needle Patent greeting card by @patentpress , I couldn’t resist selecting it as one of the items for the YarnYAY! September box! (Link in @vickiehowell bio or got to YarnYAY.com)
What looks like part circular knitting needle, part Tunisian crochet hook is illustrated as the patent drawing for flexible knitting needles. This greeting card memorializes the creation of tools that we stitchers can now, not do without!...
The sample yarn for both palettes of this year’s 12 Days of YAY! Advent Box have arrived. I cannot wait for stitchers to open up a new color everyday!
I don’t want to spoil the shade surprises, but I can share just how much yarn we’re sending you this year — FIFTEEN mini hanks of beautifully hand dyed yarn, by two rad boss-lady dyers.
Historically, we have sold out of these so I’d you’re prone to FOMO, be sure to pre-order tour 12 Days of YAY!
Nineteen years into this knitting career, it’s crazy-pants that I’ve never had Learn to Knit or Learn to Crochet kits before. So, I finally made it happen. If you know someone, or ARE someone that wants to learn — while also making something wearable— check out our new hats and scarves kits in the YarnYAY! Shop!
I’m bummed. My local JoAnns never has any of the good stuff. I wanna touch it and see the colors in person. Sigh. I’m very happy for you, though!
OMG I will be partaking in sending you a
sheep(ish) sighting! I’m out to hunt for some to make a cheshire cat with!
Hoping to find it in Canada! Will be on the lookout!
I can’t wait to see it in the stores.
Congrats!
