Fleur D’-Ease–Free Pattern of the Month is Back!!
I took a bit o’ a hiatus from monthly free pattern offering but ladies (and gentlemen?), this feature’s back! After all, with the economy the way that it is right now we could all use a little crafty break, right? Can I hear a holla’?! Ok, then.
This month’s pattern is a crocheted neck garland that I’m basing my Crochet 101 class on. The project calls for chain, single crochet, double crochet and triple crochet stitches–so for you newbies, it’s a great way to learn all of the basics (see How2 instructions for these stitches & abbreviations HERE)! For you more experienced hookers, this is a lovely accessory that makes a quickie gift in a pinch!
Wear it with a summer dress & heels or with a tank top, skirt & flip-flops! Uh…or, if like me you’re still in your jammies sans make-up, just throw it on a tree like I did here . 😉 xo, Vic
Cute as can be! I think I will add some flat back jewels in the center of each flower for sparkle.
Hugs,
Cindy
WHA?!?!? where are all the HOLLAS! The lady asked for hollas – people – come on – give her some love!!! :o) I LOVE your neck garlands – had to make a heart one for my daughter for Valentine’s Day and then had to make one for her drama teacher! Thanks so much Vickie – I’m off to round up some hollas for you!
Lovely piece. Will add a shiny bead in the center of the flower for a hint of glamor 🙂
We do a mother’s day tree at work…it’s a large branch painted white and set in a flower pot with quick cement….and we hang mother’s day quotes from cards with bows….i think the flower garland made a little longer would be sooo cute to add to that next year…….
It’s soooo cute! I can’t wait to make it!
Hollas & Merci Buckets too! Sooo cute thx 4 sharing/teaching!
REally cute.
I want to make these as gifts for our family ladies tea.
But…
Please clarify the 1st step of Flowers (Make 5)
Round 1: Ch1, 5sc in **center ring**. Join with a sl st. (5 sts.)
I usually snug up the original knot … but are you saying loosen it up and crochet into the knot (1st loop on the hook)? Is that the ** center ring**?
