Calling all parentals!

Hey, Parents! If you’re out at a grocery store or newsstand this month, take a look at the current issue of CHILD Magazine. In it they feature me and my cutie-pie boys including, a full page of our, ok my, favorite things in daily life (Vans Slip-ons, Lexie Barnes bags, Spider-man Vitamins…)

If you haven’t had a chance to check out my eco-friendly craft column in the healthy parenting magazine, KIWI, not to worry!

They’ve created a page for me on their website and started putting up past issue’s projects. Pick up the newest issue due out in May, with my Hugs & Stitches booties pattern!

I have a couple of new things to tell you about, but they’ll have to wait until tomorrow. Apparently, even though I stopped sharing Wet n’ Wild eyeliner’s almost 20 years ago, I still managed to get pink eye, and it kinda hurts to stare at the monitor. WTH?!

Nightie night,
Vickie

Damn kids and their germs! (That’s what I always say when I get some nasty germ)

But then again, they’re so cute! Look at y’all!

Adorable boys–I have 2 myself–15 and 10. They are my everything!

Cute boys Vickie! I just had my first son 6 months ago. I’m looking forward to the years to come.

Oh have to tell you my girls(18,16,12) and I love your new book. There was something for each of them. In fact it got my 18 year old to knit! Yea!! She was always saying she’s not crafty and mostly a numbers and chem kid. After she saw the laptop and calculator sleeves pattern she asked me to teach her to knit. Of course her loving sister are like about time..Kids. Now I just have to get my two boys(15 and 3-OK maybe he’s to young to knit)to knit. Your boys are so cute! Feel better.

Ohh child magazine! cool good for you!
And don’t sweat the pink eye it is all to easy to catch, just be sure to wash your hands like you have OCD! Around here when one of us gets it the doc just goes ahead and prescribes the BIG bottle of eye drops! 😉

I hate the dreaded Pink eye!! It never fails to infultrate my home, work or whereever!!
Lysol the key board immediately!! LOL

Very cute boys!! You made me laugh out loud with the Wet & Wild pinkeye comment – we must be around the same age (I’m 35.)

What cuties! I have two boys, too, they’re 7 1/2 and 3 1/2 (apparently, the 1/2s are VERY important). I’ve gotten pinkeye from the little one more than I ever got from sharing Stagelight makeup products in high school…

Robin, Yeah, I’m 33. You would’ve thought that the lighters we had to use to get the eyeliners to even work would’ve sterilized the damn things, but no. My girlfriends and I used to pass the yuck back and forth. So gross.

Sonia–You don’t know how glad I am to hear that! We almost cut the those projects because we didn’t like how they photographed. 🙂

i was so excited to read your blurb in child magazine. it’s so refreshing to hear about a celeb fixing up an older house instead of building a brand new mcmansion. i’m all for reclaiming older homes and fixing them up!

also love your column in kiwi magazine. it was one of the reasons i got a subscription!

Jules-LOL. I don’t make anywhere near the money needed to build a McMansion. If I ever do though, I’d much rather buy an old Victorian or larger, mid-century modern home. I love the history and character in old homes.

Love the article in Child mag, I have 2 boys myself, 4 and 6 so I can totally relate!
