Just thought I’d let you know that the buy.caron.com link doesn’t work. BTW, Caron Spa has become my favorite yarn – beautiful sheen and elegant drape.
Drat! It’s fixed now. Thanks for the heads up!
How sweet, now we can go directly to the source! I love Caron yarn!

I am working on the Slip Stitch Beret (http://www.caron.com/projects/ss/ss_slip_stitch_beret.html) from a recent newsletter. Can someone please tell me what M1 means in the follow instruction?

Beautiful! Do you have an estimated time for when the Whirlwind Wrap will be available?
Barbara–M1 means, make one stitch. 🙂 Sounds like you’re increasing all the way around.
Andrea– I’m pretty sure the pattern will be up within the next couple of weeks. I’ll post here and it’ll go out in Caron’s newsletter the minute it’s up. 🙂
Hello Vickie,
How sweet! She is lovely and looks awesome in those colours!

Dear Anonymous,
M1 means Make 1 and it is used to increase a stitch. The way you do it is to pick up a stitch between the left and right needle. Look at the horizontal yarn between the needles (in the last row you knit), stick the right needle under it from front to back and wrap the working yarn around it knitwise and pull it through. Leave the new stitch on the right needle. Check to make sure it did not twist, it should look like a normal knit stitch.
