Away to TNNA!

Early tomorrow morning, I’m off to TNNA! I’m still *ahem* finishing my runway stuff, but there does seem to be a light at the end of the tunnel. BTW, why is it that my washing machine needs to break right before I’m scheduled to leave for a trip? I spent yesterday afternoon at Jenny’s (aka my savior) while the kids ran around, I did laundry and we both worked on our respective deadlines. All a girl wants is a few pairs of clean underwear and some sanity. Is that too much to ask for? Saturday’s the big launch of The Vickie Howell Collection (it’ll be in stores this spring). Woo hoo! If you’re planning on attending the convention, please, please come by the SWTC booth to check out my beautiful new yarns! I’ll be hanging out there as well as at the Sterling booth to sign copies of Knitty Gritty Knits. Be there or be oval. Back to the yarn. For those of you who won’t be there, you can see color swatches of all three yarns here on my site. Can you guess what movies the couples I named the LOVE colors after came from? What about the rockers from ROCK or the crafters from CRAFT? I’ll tell you who one of the latter is, Ms. Jennifer Danielle Perkins, who just made me the perfect necklace to match my garment for the runway. She’s totally the wind beneath my jewelry wings. Ok, that’s enough procrastination nation from me. Have a good weekend and hopefully I’ll see some of you soon! Vickie

vickie, I enjoy knitty gritty very much, but I particulary enjoyed Annie Modisset. what a lovely and talented lady! I plan to buy her book, and also I’m going to attempt the camisole. she made everything seem so easy. BTW have you heard about the Socks that Rock sock club? and their issues with the bank… Its actually quite funny, but then again not funny. read the yarn harlot blog for the details, she is WAY better with words than I am. When is she scheduled to appear on Knitty Gritty? Regards, Patti

    Good Luck Vicki!!
I’m sure you’ll knock em dead with your fabulous style! I watch you both times everyday and feel that everyone should have a little “Vicki” to brighten their day. Now with your gorgeous yarns you’ll be making even more people cheery!

    Vickie,
I am wondering if you check the DIY Messenger Boards. There is a Knitting Messenger Board and some of us have questions about some projects we saw on Knitty Gritty! I especially need your help. I believe you had a guest on the show that made a
“Funky Fiber Art Purse”. I can’t find the directions!
    Can you help?
    Thanks-

Patti–Yup, Annie M. is awesome. SHe’s smart, talented and really good people. I don’t know yet when the YH episode will air. I’ll keep you posted!

Cindi, Anne & Knitxcore–Thanks for the positive words. I think they all did well, especially LOVE–I had several people come up and say, “I’m in love with LOVE”. Now, if I only had that in testimonial form on camera!

Paula–FOr self-preservation purposes, I stay away from most boards just in case there’s anything nastiness written about me or the show. It’s like poison, ya know? Do you happen to remember who the guest was on that show? I’m not remembering that project name. If not, do you remember if my hair looked vaguely flying nun like, or super-choppy? That’ll help me determine what season the show was in to maybe narrow the search. 🙂
