Many of you have been faithfully stalking your local Jo-ann store in hope of finding my new yarn, but unfortunately have struck out (there’s still a couple more days for them to get it set-up). First off, I just have to say that that makes me feel all gushy inside. Second, I wanted to let you know that the amazing web team at Bernat (shout out to: Cori, Jen, Kaleigh & Amanda!) hustled their butts off to make Bernat Cotton-ish by Vickie Howell available for purchaseย online for stitchers NOW!ย
The Bernat Design Team and I have put together a cool, fun and accessible launch collection to inspire you. I’ll take time over the coming weeks to talk about each of them (as well as introduce more!), but today I thought I’d feature one of my favorites by my friend, Nicole: the Yes, Yes Shawl.
The same shawl can be pretty and sweet, and funky and chic depending on how you wear it. Wrap it around your shoulders for a flirty and feminine look, or wear it like an oversized scarf (I prefer jauntily askew) for a cool and relaxed feel.
Well, whattya waiting for? Head on over to Bernat.com now to nab some Cotton-ish and a free pattern or two to go with it!
xx,
Vickie
P.S. Don’t forget to fave/stash it on Ravelry, too!

I used to watch you on that program you hosted, with all the women knitting, I can’t remember the name of the show, but I really enjoyed it. I am excited to have finally caught up with you again on fb. I knit and crochet, and I am learning more and more about knitting, and it is very exiting. I go to a knitting group, at my local library, and every one brings something different to the table. Thanks

I’m so glad you liked, Knitty Gritty! Hopefully you’ll also tune in to the show I just took over hosting, Knitting Daily TV with Vickie Howell. It begins airing in January on your local PBS station. Thanks for posting!

Hi,
I was wondering what pattern you used to knit the pink shawl you were wearing this Thursday on Knitting Daily. I couldn’t find it in your patterns on Ravelry. Thank you.

Can you tell me what the subject of the episode was? The show’s in reruns, so not sure which episode or season is airing. The shawl was either an Interweave or Yarnspirations design, though so wouldn’t be in my personal Ravelry database. Let me know, and I’ll see if I can help! ๐

#tbt October 2019. That time when @madebylondon and I both had @abramsbooks published at the same time, and crocheted murals of our covers to take on tour.
#latergram Sure, weโre all knitters and crocheters over on Stitchwell Social Club, but those arenโt our only topics we delve into as a community. The first discussion of our Feminist Book Club โ moderated by member Mylynka, a history and gender studies professor โ focused on the 17thโcentury fuel behind the Witches of Scotland timely, modern-day movement. I canโt wait for the next one!

#2008 Once upon a time, @lifetimetv hired me to design and host video tutorials for a few, holiday-specific craft projects that ran on their website. These photos are from the shoot โ our then home โ for the Halloween-project episode.
