CO 22 sts.

Row 1 (RS): Purl.

Row 2 (WS): Knit.

Repeat Rows 1-2 until piece measures 8″/20 cm.

Block both pieces.

  • Place rice in a bowl.
  • Add essential oil (approximately 8-10 drops), stir into rice.
  • Set aside

Note: Lavender oil can be strong, so start slowly. You can always add more!

  • With RS facing and using a ¼”/1 cm seam allowance, machine or hand sew 2 pieces together leaving an opening for turning.
  • Trim corners and seems as necessary.
  • Turn piece right-side out.
  • Fill pillow with rice mixture.
  • Using needle and thread, sew the opening closed.

With WS facing and using tapestry needle and yarn, seam three edges of the FRONT and BACK sleeve pieces together.

Insert pillow into the sleeve; seam closed.

Weave in tails.
