Show Notes:
RICHELA FABIAN MORGAN is an indie crafter specializing in paper, adhesives, and found materials. She has a BA in History from NYU and a BA in Studio Art from CUNY Hunter College.
After working for various New York publishing companies (and invariably other people’s books) for nine years, she decided to quit her job and give writing a try. Unfortunately, she didn’t know what to write about. On the advice of her sensible mother, Ms. Morgan turned her attention to what she knew best: how to make all manners of stuff.
In addition to DUCT TAPE BAGS, Ms. Morgan has written six books:
TAPE IT & WEAR IT: (Barron’s Educational Series/2014), TAPE IT & MAKE MORE: Another 101 Duct Tape Activities (Barron’s Educational Series/2013), TAPE IT & MAKE IT: 101 Duct Tape Activities (Barron’s Educational Series/2012), THE GREEN CRAFTER: 52 Eco Friendly Crafts for Every Week of the Year (Citadel/2009), NOTEWORTHY: Homemade Greeting Cards for Any Occasion, a popular card-crafting kit (MetroBooks/2008), BABY BY THE NUMBERS: an essential reference guide to raising baby from birth to three years old (Chronicle/2008).
She is also a contributing writer to the books ALL THINGS PAPER (Tuttle Publishing/2013) and UNBORED: GAMES (Bloomsbury/2014).
Ms. Morgan has worked with kids for the past eight years, teaching various duct tape, paper, and recycled craft projects at institutions such as the Boston Public Library (all Boston, MA branches), the Rye Arts Center (Rye, NY), AI Friedman (Port Chester, NY), and the Chapel School Summer Camp (Bronxville, NY).
Ms. Morgan currently lives in Larchmont, New York with her husband and two exceedingly crafty children.
