I just listened to the podcast while working on my crochet chevron throw. I loved listening to your story and everyone else that I have heard! Everyone is honest and authentic. Crafts of choice, my there are many! Crochet, knit, mixed media, sewing, writing, doodles ! I believe we all are multi-craftual 🙂 Thank you for the opportunity for the giveaway!

LOVED this episode. I loved your questions and appreciated Cathy’s open and frank responses. My crafts of choice right now are: jewelry making, mixed media, and learning to draw-mainly women’s faces.

  2. Alyssa

Hello! My #1 craft of choice is knitting!! I also like to crochet. I dabble in other crafts like sewing, painting, and papercrafting. ?

  3. Dani RouseHolland

I like starting with items that can be upcycled/recycled and then adding touches such as beads, decoupage with Mod Podge, etc. I like that there are different types of Mod Podge available depending on the project. I also like trying out new types of crafts depending on the project that I’m upcycling/recycling. I love Cathie’s ideas & have followed her & Steve since Creative Juice. 🙂

I can’t remember a time in my life when I haven’t crafted something. My grandmother was always sharing her love of crafting with me…and so over the years I have loved crocheting, knitting, rubber stamping cards, cross-stitching, refinishing or painting furniture, cooking, baking and more!! This Spring/Summer I have crocheted 4 Baby Afghans for gifts so far. 🙂 As I listened to you and Cathie visit on the podcast this evening (enjoyed it) I was crocheting on the fifth baby afghan to gift to a friend I met through Facebook.

What a wonderful episode! Hearing the stories of other crafty folk is such an inspiration. My crafts of choice usually involve some sort of paper crafting. I love working with paper and stretching the limits of what you can do with it. Thanks so much for a great podcast. 🙂

  6. Bridget

I definitely knit more than anything – mostly because I can take it anywhere – but I also love sewing, making homemade bath and beauty products and gardening. Since hearing your podcast with Anna Joyce, I bought her book and have been totally into stenciling and hand painting fabric for projects. I’ve told you before on insta, I find your podcasts so inspiring and love listening to them on my commute!

Really loved this conversation. It was so sweet that Cathie shared her journey to getting her two lovely girls. The Thanksgiving story gave me goosebumps. My craft of choice is knitting but I love learning new things and using new tools so I also do loom knitting, crocheting, stamping, bead work and sewing. I love KALs and CALs that give me a chance to learn new techniques.

  9. Elizabeth Rios

I do a lot of crafts like jewelry making. crewel, cross stitch, ribbon embroidery and crochet, but I mostly knit now. I love Cathie Filian and her show creative juices. So good to hear her story. Very interesting. The Mod Melter sure looks like fun. Endless way to craft.

Hi! I just found your podcast through Cathie’s FB page. I’m so glad you are hosting one! My craft of choice is papercrafting, but I love learning and trying new things.
Even though I have followed Cathie’s adoption
story online, it was even more special to hear her tell it.
Thanks for the chance and for interviewing one of my favorite crafty people!

  12. Amberly

Loved this episode! It was so interesting learning about Cathie’s unique career path and her awesome Fost/Adopt story. My craft of choice is mainly crochet, but also spinning, knitting and some wire work.

  13. Susan Cluck

Love the podcast. Interesting to hear about the crafting, but especially liked the adoption story. I am all about making… Knitting, sewing, quilting, cross stitch, needlepoint, weaving, spinning, basketry, beading…

  14. Rosalba Bassora

Currently I’m a devoted knitter but I am enjoying this postcard project which has me creating with paper and mixed media. Love your shows Vickie!

  16. Chandra Corn

I love all things yarny! I’m addicted to knitting and I’m working on my crochet muscles now. I love learning new crafts like embroidery and needle felting. My new husband is shocked by how much crafting I really do. He didn’t know the extent of my crafting love. XD

  17. Maryann

Great show! My favorite crafts are crocheting and knitting. I just bought a sewing machine and sew a little, too.

  18. Erin Evans

I am loving these craftish podcasts! I listen to them right as I start my studio time and they really have helped me feel a sense of community! My craft of choice, oui how to choose?!? I love all things fibers, but also love carving lino blocks and printing on paper, fabric, and wood……but I also cannot help myself when it comes to just a good craft that keeps my hands and brain working. Keep up the awesome interviews!

  19. Donna Jefferis

I am a costumier by trade and avid knitter. Thanks for producing this great podcast, always very interesting and this show its self is very inspirational.

  20. Suzanne

Wow, what a jam packed episode. I love the show and have listened to every episode. I am a crafter from a very young age. I knit, crochet, sew, play with paper, sew with paper and fabric, quilt, cross stitch and the list goes on. I believe that my disposition is more balanced when I take time to do something creative every day. Thanks for all the inspiration.

  21. KD May

This is one of the best episodes!

I’ve usually almost always got something crafty going on, currently I’m in a sewing phase. I’m actually making quite a few of my own clothes, and I’m super stoked about it!

    Thanks for the giveaway!
