Happy Halloween!
If you asked most people what holiday comes to mind when they think knitting or crochet, Christmas is usually the front runner answer. For me though, Halloween goes head-to-head (or head-to-headless, as it were) with the winter holidays for knitibility–after all, what’s spookier than a gang of chicks with sticks?
Today, I’m reflecting upon a few spooktacular projects I’ve been a part of and wondering what you all have been making this Hallows Eve. Please, boo tell. 😉

(Speaking of fire fighters, a big shout-out to my brother, Kevin Montoya who’s been fighting the crazy California fires over the past couple of weeks. Stay safe, little bro.)

I love the pic of you and the hubby! Very Halloween. 🙂 I’m not knitting anything specifically Halloween at the mo’; I’m on holiday gifts right now but I do want to knit up Boo-Tree-Licious for next year, which will be here before I know it!
Are the kiddies going trick or treating? I’ve got Spidey and Ghost Rider hitting the neighborhood as soon as I get out of work…
Nothing Halloween-y on the sticks right now, but I did make a devil hat Christmas present for my friend’s son over the weekend…
My son is only 15 months old and doesn’t care about dressing up for Halloween yet so I took advantage of that and decided to do a simple costume. I knit him your Tool Set & Pouch from New Knits on the Block. I’ll dress him in his overalls and a plaid shirt and he can be a construction worker. The bonus is that he can play with the tools after. Very cute pattern!
the boy wanted to be scooby doo for halloween so i knit him a hat (with ears), a tail and the collar. his winter coat is brown so he can wear the hat all winter. his was the only homemade costume in school – everyone else’s was store bought (not that there’s anything wrong with that…)
Oooh! I like your eye makeup and black lipstick!!
Just listened to your first podcast — you SERIOUSLY ROCK as did Kathy!! Loved it — cannot wait for more 😉
Keep up the great work!
Nothing Halloween-y on the needles right now but I’m trying to talk myself into casting on a second sock so the first one doesn’t get lost in the ether!
I’m really digging that goth shawl, I think I’m going to have to break down and start in on lacy knitting seriously.
Love the pic! 🙂
