PSP in the Press + Beanie & Scarf Drive!

November is National Epilepsy Awareness Month, and coincidentally Purple Stitch Project — our charity that provides handmade, purple gifts to kids with seizures — is featured in FOUR magazines, currently on stands! Next time you’re at your local newsstand, please check out: Crafts n’ Things (we’re on the cover!), Interweave Crochet Accessories, Knit 1-2-3, and Crochet 1-2-3 Magazines!
Each issue features both info on PSP and a project you can make to donate (see below.)

I recently dropped of a ton of handmade donations to a local, Epilepsy Monitoring Unit and children’s hospital. In addition, we continue to mail individual packages to kids nationwide. Because of that, we’re getting low on supplies. Knitters, crocheters and sewists: I need you! Please make and donate purple beanies and scarves for the winter. You can get more info on the cause, free patterns, and where to donate on: PurpleStitchProject.org.

Hey Vickie..this is great information for the event I want to start for my Love’s gals. I will have it run Nov 15 to Jan 15. This way those that want to still get some gift making done can and then make for the PSP. I have some purple slippers from my slipper drive in remembrance of my mom I will also send if they can be used. Please let me know, as this is also an ongoing collection for slippers. I hope to be able to bring you loads of purple! My nephew had seizures a few yrs ago and was on medication for a year. He has not had an episode in a while.. it was a very scary ordeal.. I hope to be able to bring some happiness to others.
