Ask Etsy!

Hey all! Tomorrow I interview Etsy big-wiggy Matt, for CRL. Got any hot burning questions you’d like me to ask him about the inner workings of the company, tips he might have, how did get your stuff featured on the front page, etc, etc? If so, post ’em here before 9amCT tomorrow and I’ll see if I can work some of them in.

Ok, off to teach a crochet market bag at Hill Country Weavers. Night!

xo, Vic

I’d definitely like to know how you get your items featured on the main page.

What are his tips for New “Etsy’ers”?

As well as will there ever be an “Etsy-ring”?

Where hopeless shoppers can do window shopping through an endless Etsy ring, kind of like walking through a real mall and just seeing what’s out there; now the smart one in me says (bad) cause I need to practice more saving then spending, but the shopper and just curious part of me loves to stumble upon new things, which an “Etsy-Ring” would be perfect for, kind of like Blog-Rings.

I know you can search by category, but sometimes its nice to just be led somewhere especially when your in one of those “blah” moods.

Where can I watch your interview??

Hmmm, I’m at a loss for words – for once! There’s so many great things about Etsy already that I’m not sure what I would ask specifically about the site. I do wish that some type of identification for those of us who offer wholesale and consignment were possible and a way to offer wholesale options in our shops, but that’s about it….

Really, I’m very happy to be a part of Etsy. It is like no other handmade selling venue that I’ve found, and the community of sellers there is great to be a part of. I know that I sound like an Etsy commercial so I’ll stop now 🙂

I am curious too – I can’t find mention of why the podcasts stopped. You’ve got a great lineup, and I was looking forward to hearing about Etsy (I have a friend who works at the home office in NYC), but there doesn’t seem to be any mention of what happened. So…what happened?
