Row 8 [K2, p2] twice, work smocking stitch, k1, [p2, k2] twice, p to end.

RIGHT HAND
Work as for left, but reverse pattern by working the ribbing first on the WS rows and knitting to the end and working rows 4 and 8 as foll:

Row 4 [Work smocking stitch, k1, p2, k2, p2] twice, k2, p to end.
Row 8 K2, p2, work smocking stitch, k1, [p2, k2] twice, k2, p to end.

Cardigan Neutral (from Awareknits)

Last line of Cuff instructions should read as follows:
Work even in pat for 3″/8cm; work in straight st st for 4/10cm” more, ending with a WS row.  BO.

Last line of Sleeve instructions should read as follows:

Work even until sleeve measures 15″/38cm. BO.

Boy in a Bubble Pattern Corrections

Line 1: With smaller needles and CC, CO 30 (34, 38, 42) sts.
Line 5: Next RS row: Switch to larger needles. Pf&Kb (purl in the front and knit in the back of same stitch) every st. across. 60 (68, 76, 84 sts.)

Lines 7-8: Next RS: Inc1, k to last st, inc1, k1. (62, 70,78, 86 sts.)
Next row: Inc1, p to last st, Inc1, p1. (64,72, 80, 88 sts.)

Line 12: Repeat last two rows 5 more times. (24, 40, 48, 5 ) sts.

Lines 15-16: Repeat last 2 rows 1 more time. (16, 32, 40, 48 sts.)
Work 6(8,8,10) rows in straight St st.

For the yarn used in the pattern, US size 10 needles are needed, not US size 8.
