VH: What’s your favorite thing about crafting?
TH: It is drawing and coloring.
VH: What do you like about it?
TH: It’s fun.
VH: How did you feel when you were in your Clay Creations class last summer?
TH: Happy. It was fun.
VH: What about when you made your sock monkey?
TH: Fun.
VH: Do you like that you and I both are crafty?
TH: Uh huh, yeah.
VH: Why?
TH: It’s fun to be with you and it’s fun that we’re both crafty, so we can make stuff together.
VH: I agree.
Do you have a happy memory about one of the times you’ve been creative?
TH: Yes. I drawed [sic] a dog that I really like.
VH: How’d that make you feel?
TH: Happy. I like how it looked.
VH: Were you proud of yourself?
TH: Yes. I was in kindergarden. It was a very long time ago. I don’t have that picture anymore.
VH: Do you think you’re a good artist?
TH: Yeah.
VH: Me too.
This is too cute Vicki! You and I discussed the importance of art in children’s lives and how kids can learn math and science via art, making learning fun. I love that you highlighted Tristan, I’m sure he will inspire many more young artists!
