My great grandma taught me how to crochet when I was 10. I would ride my bike down the hill to her house & spend after school watching her crochet blankets & doll clothes for me & my cousins. She was left handed & I’m right handed; when my mom saw me crocheting a blanket for my cabbage patch doll, she asked where I’d learned & then told me that I was doing it backwards. She tried to show me (she was right handed) and I struggled, I was already so use to the way I’d learned from my grandma. To this day, I’m still a backwards crocheter.
