I’ve been an avid crafter since the age of four. First, it started with the wooden beads to make necklaces. The year before, I learned how to hand sew in school-we made Christmas stockings, and I quickly learned the basics. The teacher was also a sewer, and she was impressed that I learned so quickly. Then, four years later, I started to weave potholders. At this time, yarn had entered my life-my best friend and I discovered that we could use yarn to make friendship bracelets. We taught ourselves the basics. At this time, I learned how to cross stitch and I also learned how to sew on a sewing machine. When I was 26, I learned how to knit, and 18 months later, I learned how to crochet. Today, I dabble in both, and I’m busy kicking off my own knitting and crocheting business.
