Craft(s) of choice: knitting (I’m an addict), a little embroidery, and general kids crafts (I’m usually a “room-mom”)
When asked as a child what I wanted to be when I grew up I always said,”I want to be a wife and mother.” To me that’s the greatest job any woman can ask for. I wanted to be like my mom and my mother was always very crafty. She taught me to embroider, to crochet, started my ever growing addiction to knitting and yarn, and that, “with a glue gun, anything is possible!” We even had friends who owned a craft store (where I got my first job). I remember my mom always being the “room-mom” all through my elementary school days and the cool things we would make or that she would make for us. Since having kids of my own, I think I have succeeded in becoming what I wanted to be when I grew up. I’m usually a “room-mom” and I love finding cool crafts for the kids to make, that’s not something that all kids get anymore – quality craft time.
