I Stitch, I Bitch.

I'm sure that by now, all of you have heard about how Sew Fast Sew Easy, Inc. has come after Yahoo and Cafe Press for using "their" or parts of their trademarked phrase, "Stitch n' Bitch Cafe". What that means is that (at least for now)Yahoo can't allow us to use "Stitch n' Bitch" as the name of our on-line knitting groups. For those like me who started a Stitch n' Bitch group over 4 years ago, this is really friggin' irritating. If you're interested in reading more about the legalities or would like to support the movement to reclaim the phrase, check out this site:

I couldn't believe my Abq Stitch 'n' Bitch Yahoo group actually got deleted.

So *bleeping* stupid. The whole thing.

Give us an update on your digs! Anything new going on there? Colors on the walls? I need some house porn!

And one other piece of advice for your webmistress. You might want to turn on the word verification key so you don't get spammed.

And done. I was worried it would bug people, but better safe than sorry . . .

Thank you for posting this on your blog. The organizer of our group actually moved out of state and she is the only one that can change our yahoo group. We had to create a new yahoo group without any of the questionable wording and switch everything over because our old group site is going to be deleted, since I can't get ahold of the group leader to change the group name. I agree, this is "really friggin' irritating."

Thanks for sticking up for us. Us leaders are joined up and fuming. What a way to kill a client base, right?
